2025 Concerts at Petco Park

Concerts

Petco Park became one of San Diego's top concert venues the moment the Rolling Stones took the stage in 2005. With a look at the lineup over the past few years, it has become the place to play for the biggest musical artists on tour in San Diego. It is conveniently located in downtown San Diego with plenty of parking and public transportation.

The San Diego Padres ballpark seating and field offer a spacious outdoor capacity with flexible configurations and stage layouts to accommodate concerts of all sizes—from smaller acts on the Sycuan Stage to 40,000+ capacity full-stadium shows. View concert seating chart.

And the stadium has ample and well-maintained facilities and amenities, including suites, restrooms and concessions. Add in the perfect weather and it's hard to conceive a better concert venue than Petco Park in San Diego. Music of all genres regularly fills the ballpark (view upcoming events calendar), from Madonna to McCartney to Metallica, Taylor Swift, Beach Boys, The Eagles and Billy Joel. Punk, ska, country, hip hop, reggae, electronic, and metal, orchestras, local bands and even high school bands have performed concerts at Petco. After the tease of KAABOO, in 2022, shows by Garth Brooks and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elton John and Bad Bunny, in 2023 Morgan Wallen and in 2024 the mighty Foo Fighers, Journey & Def Leppard, Sting, Billy Joel, Blink 182, Green Day and P!nk, Petco Park sits at the top of the list of large concert venues in San Diego.

Artist Presale Ticket Access

Fans looking to score Petco Park concert tickets early should take note of several presale opportunities in the week before the general public onsale. These may include exclusive access through the artist presale, Live Nation Presale, Ticketmaster Presale, the venue, partners like Spotify, credit cards and other VIP opportunities, and the Padres organization itself. Each of these typically requires a presale code for early access to tickets, offering fans a better shot at securing their preferred seats before tickets open up to everyone. For presale codes, eligible parties will be notified ahead of the presale. In general, presales are staggered across the days leading up to the public onsale and may be limited in quantity. Signing up for artist newsletters, Spotify notifications, and fan clubs is one way to score these valuable presale access codes.
