Who Is Rainbow Kitten Surprise?

Concerts
Rainbow Kitten Surprise is a band from Boone, North Carolina. The band was initially founded by Darrick “Bozzy” Keller and Sam Melo, who later transitioned and now performs as Ela Melo. The current lineup includes Ela Melo (lead vocals, guitars), Darrick “Bozzy” Keller (rhythm guitar, backup vocals), Ethan Goodpaster (lead guitar, backup vocals), and Jess Haney (drums, backup vocals). Charlie Holt, the former bassist, departed the band in 2024. Bozzy!

Their name comes from combining rainbow, and kitten and surprise.

Last year, the band released their fourth studio album, Love Hate Music Box, which featured collaborations with artists like Kacey Musgraves and reflected on the personal experiences of Ela Melo. Their most recent single, “Dang,” was released this summer.
