Carly Rae Jepsen is coming outside. The Day and Night Tour hits Gallagher Square at Petco Park on Friday, April 23, 2027, in support of her brand-new double album, Day and Night. It’s the biggest tour of her career, with first-ever headlining nights at Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, and Red Rocks, and San Diego lands right in the middle of the West Coast run.
Tickets roll out in waves the week of October 5. If you want a shot before the general public, sign up for the artist presale.
Opening act and show time haven’t been announced yet. We’ll update this page when they are.
This is Carly Rae Jepsen moving up a weight class. The 26-city run opens April 15 at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton and wraps May 29 at MTELUS in Montreal, starting and ending in her native Canada. Along the way she plays her first headlining shows at Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, and Red Rocks.
San Diego is the third stop in a five-day California-to-Colorado stretch:
The night before San Diego, she headlines the Forum for the first time, an arena where LA fans will be hours from the stage in the upper deck. Gallagher Square is the opposite: an outdoor, general admission lawn inside the ballpark where you can actually see her face without a screen. Then she’s off to Red Rocks two days later, another career first.
If you’re torn between LA and San Diego, this is the easy call. Same tour, a fraction of the room, no 5 freeway.
Carly Rae Jepsen grew up in Mission, British Columbia, and broke out globally in 2012 with “Call Me Maybe,” a song that topped charts in more than 40 countries and earned her Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
What happened next is why she’s playing Madison Square Garden in 2027. Instead of chasing another viral hit, she made Emotion (2015), an ’80s-tinged synth-pop record that didn’t dominate radio but built one of the most devoted fan bases in pop. Every album since—Dedicated, The Loneliest Time, The Loveliest Time—has added to the case that she’s one of the best pure pop songwriters working.
Day and Night, her eighth studio album, came out September 18, 2026. It’s a 24-track double album split down the middle: 12 songs for “day,” leaning folk and singer-songwriter, and 12 for “night,” built for the dance floor. It’s her first new album since 2023’s The Loveliest Time.
Singles include “On Wires,” “After All,” “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor,” and “Motivation,” plus “Versailles,” whose music video takes its cues from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette.
Gallagher Square at Petco Park is an outdoor venue tucked inside the ballpark beyond the outfield, with room for 6,000+ fans. That’s tiny compared to most stops on this tour, which is exactly the appeal.
The grass-sloped lawn and general admission standing area give you options: get up front and dance through the night half of the set, or hang back on the lawn for the quieter day songs.

With a 24-song new album built around a day-and-night split, expect the show to lean into that structure, mixing the new material with fan favorites from Emotion and beyond. And yes, she still plays “Call Me Maybe.”
Carly Rae Jepsen crowds are some of the friendliest in pop: lots of singing along, lots of dancing, and lots of people who know every deep cut on Emotion: Side B.
Enter through the Balboa Gate on J Street. Doors typically open 60-90 minutes before showtime.
The MTS Trolley stops directly at Petco Park (12th & Imperial Station). It’s the easiest way in and out on a Friday night downtown.

Late April in San Diego is usually mild, with days in the upper 60s and evenings that cool off fast once the sun goes down and the marine layer rolls in. Bring a jacket you don’t mind tying around your waist.
