Here’s everything you need to know before attending the very special concert with Sting and Billy Joel – two concerts in one, on the center field stage at the San Diego Padres Stadium, Petco Park. The one-night-only San Diego concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024.

What to know before you go.
Lineup: TBD – so far Billy Joel and Sting, no opening acts have been published
Gates Open: 5:30pm
Show Begins: 7pm. Rain or shine. Reentry is not permitted (See re-entry policy.)

No outside food or beverages allowed. No factory-sealed water bottles or reusable water bottles. No umbrellas. There will be locker available for storage. Read complete concert rules.

Billy Joel

Legendary songwriter and pianist Billy Joel, a 1999 inductee of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and winner of multiple Grammy Awards, last played at Petco Park in May 2016. Billy Joel is best known for distinctive piano-driven rock and pop songs including “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” and “Just the Way You Are.”

Sting

Gordon Sumner, renowned British musician, singer, songwriter, and actor better known as Sting, gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist and bassist for the rock band The Police (“Roxanne,” “Every Breath You Take,” “Message in a Bottle”) before launching into a successful solo career (“Fields of Gold,” “Englishman in New York,” “Shape of My Heart”). Like Billy Joel, Sting was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has won numerous Grammy Awards. Sting just recently performed a sold out concert in San Diego, October 4, 2023 at SDSU’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre (Read review of the concert.)
