Concert Lineup
Def Leppard
Def Leppard, formed in Sheffield in 1976, stands out as a prominent English rock band integral to the new wave of British heavy metal in the early 1980s. Consisting of Rick Savage, Joe Elliott, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, and Vivian Campbell since 1992, the band reached its peak commercial success during the early 1980s to the early 1990s. While their initial albums gained notice, the collaboration with producer Mutt Lange on the 1983 release “Pyromania” propelled them to international stardom. The subsequent album, “Hysteria” (1987), showcased a pop-oriented sound, becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time. Def Leppard continued chart domination with albums like “Adrenalize” (1992) and “Slang” (1996). Their enduring success includes numerous chart-topping hits, millions of records sold, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, solidifying their position as one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Their recent studio album, “Diamond Star Halos,” released in May 2022, further attests to their lasting impact on the rock music landscape.
Journey
Established in San Francisco in 1973 by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band, and Frumious Bandersnatch, Journey has significantly influenced the rock music landscape. With guitarist/vocalist Neal Schon, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Jonathan Cain, and lead vocalist Arnel Pineda at its core, the band reached its zenith between 1978 and 1987 under the lead vocals of Steve Perry. Renowned for the chart-topping “Escape” and the iconic anthem “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Journey sustained its commercial success with the 1983 release “Frontiers.” Despite lineup changes and successful mid-1990s reunions, including Arnel Pineda from 2007 onward, Journey’s impact is evident through 25 gold and platinum albums, notably the 15-time platinum
RIAA Diamond Certified “Greatest Hits” album from 1988. Their global sales surpass 100 million records, solidifying their place among the world’s best-selling bands. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, Journey’s enduring legacy is underscored by their sustained popularity and VH1’s recognition, ranking them at number 96 on the list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Steve Miller Band
The Steve Miller Band, originating in San Francisco in 1966, stands as an iconic American rock group led by guitarist and lead vocalist Steve Miller. Initially known as the Steve Miller Blues Band, the ensemble gained prominence in the late 1960s and achieved commercial success in the mid-1970s with a series of hit singles that became classics of the rock genre. Evolving through psychedelic rock albums like “Children of the Future,” “Sailor,” and “Brave New World,” the band’s musical style transitioned towards straightforward rock, exemplified by chart-topping releases such as “The Joker” and “Fly Like an Eagle.” The 1978 release of their “Greatest Hits” compilation sold over 13 million copies. Steve Miller’s solo induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 highlighted the band’s contributions, with Miller expressing a desire for collective recognition. Despite lineup changes, the Steve Miller Band persists in their musical journey, leaving an enduring legacy in the rock music scene with hits like “Jet Airliner” and “Rock’n Me.”
