Convenient and fun, leave your car at one of the Park and Ride lots and hop on a Trolley to the San Diego Padres baseball game. Yes, the trolley goes to Petco Park. There are a few stations near the stadium to conveniently get you to the game.
For the Padres’ home opening series, MTS is ramping up trolley service before and after games, making it even easier for fans to get to Petco Park. Trolleys will serve all stations every 15 minutes or better before and after games. On sellout days last season, an average of 8,000 fans used the trolley to get to the ballpark, according to MTS.
Children Ride Free – Children 18 years of age or younger can ride MTS public transit for free with a Youth Opportunity Pass. Kids are also free on weekends, part of the Family Weekends promotion: Two kids 12 and under ride free with an adult, no PRONTO card needed.
Local Tip: Purchase round trip fares in advance to save time after the event.
Use the PRONTO card or the mobile app for convenient fare payment. Load money onto your PRONTO card or app in advance to avoid ticket machine lines. The money won’t expire so consider loading for future trips as well.
