Convenient and fun, leave your car at one of the Park and Ride lots and hop on a Trolley to the Padres game. There are a few stations near the stadium.
Trolley Station Details: The stop closest to Petco Park: 12th & Imperial. But can also be easily accessed if you get off the trolley at the Park (12th) and Market stop or the Gaslamp Quarter Station (Fifth Avenue and Harbor Drive). Any of these three trolley stops will serve you equally well and without any hassles.
New for 2022
A new trolley line, the UC San Diego Blue Line, will run southbound from UTC
to Petco Park daily, providing a convenient stop for fans at the 12th and Imperial station in Downtown.
The 12th & Imperial Station, just steps from the SD Padres ballpark, is serviced by all three major trolley service routes: Green Line, Orange Line and UCSD
A round-trip ticket costs $5 and lasts all day. All day passes cost $6. This year starting May 1, 2022, children 18 years of age or younger can ride MTS public transit
Best Places to Park and Ride
Parking options include Old Town and the Fashion Valley lot next to the mall. All parking locations work equally great. New park & ride locations are available along the UC San Diego Blue Line at Nobel Drive, Balboa Avenue and Tecolote Drive stations. Parking at the Stadium Station and Grantville are unavailable due to site construction. Qualcomm parking lot is closed indefinitely.
