About the Wild Horses Music Festival

This will be the third festival in its history, presented by Outriders. Outriders also produces the annual Country Stampede festival in Manhattan, Kansas, and will host a Rodeo at Petco Park in 2024. Last year’s Wild Horses Fest was a two-day country music festival also held at Petco Park, on September 24 and 25, 2022. The festival featured an eclectic lineup of country music artists, including Cody Jinks, Midland, LeAnn Rimes, Whiskey Myers, Colter Wall, and more. The festival was a sell-out, with over 40,000 people in attendance over the two days. Cody Jinks, who headlined the festival on Saturday night, said that it was “one of the best crowds I’ve ever played for.”

Who is Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Oologah, Oklahoma. With a unique blend of raw emotion and heartfelt storytelling, he has captivated audiences with his powerful voice and honest lyrics. Born in 1996, Bryan’s journey to musical success has been nothing short of remarkable.

Before making his mark in the music industry, Zach Bryan served in the U.S. Navy, a testament to his dedication and discipline. Following his time in the military, he discovered his passion for music and began sharing his talent on YouTube in 2017. Armed with just an iPhone and a group of friends as recording engineers, Bryan’s intimate performances resonated with listeners, leading to the viral success of his song “Heading South.”

Inspired by this initial triumph, Zach Bryan went on to release his debut album, “DeAnn,” on August 24, 2019. The album, a poignant tribute to his late mother, was written in a mere two months and recorded in a Florida Airbnb alongside his close friends. Bryan’s authentic storytelling and heartfelt melodies struck a chord with fans, earning him a dedicated following.

Continuing his musical journey, Zach Bryan released his second album, “Elisabeth,” on May 8, 2020. This time, he transformed a repurposed barn behind his Washington home into a recording space, showcasing his growth as an artist. With each release, Bryan’s fanbase continued to grow, drawn to his ability to channel genuine emotion into his music.

Recognizing his immense talent, Zach Bryan made his Grand Ole Opry debut on April 10, 2021, solidifying his status as a rising star in the country music scene. Shortly thereafter, he inked a deal with Warner Records, allowing his music to reach an even broader audience.

Zach Bryan’s music resonates with fans and critics alike, drawing comparisons to influential singer-songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt and Jason Isbell. His heartfelt lyrics and captivating performances have garnered him opportunities to tour alongside renowned artists like Colter Wall and Whiskey Myers. In addition, he has graced the stages of prominent festivals including Stagecoach and Austin City Limits, further solidifying his reputation as a compelling live performer.

As Zach Bryan continues to mature as an artist, his future shines brightly. With his distinct voice, powerful storytelling, and genuine approach to music, he is poised to make a lasting impact on the country music landscape. For fans of authentic, soul-stirring songs, Zach Bryan is a must-listen.

Trampled By Turtles were a late addition to the bill replacing Caamp (Caamp had to withdraw from the festival and other shows due to health reasons). Proud natives of Duluth, Minnesota, Trampled by Turtles are fronted by Dave Simonett and produce an ear-pleasing blend of the best parts of bluegrass and rock. You may know them from such songs as “Ain’t No Use in Tryin’” and “Wait So Long”.

Sierra Ferrell, born in West Virginia, is a singer-songwriter and musician known for her unique blend of country, gypsy jazz, folk, and Latin influences. She released albums like “Pretty Magic Spell” (2018) and “Washington by the Sea” (2019) before gaining critical acclaim with her 2021 release, “Long Time Coming.” The album featured singles like “The Sea,” “In Dreams,” and “Bells of Every Chapel.” Ferrell’s upbringing in a financially challenging environment fostered her love for music, and her nomadic lifestyle allowed her to busk across cities, embracing swing and bluegrass genres. Signed to Rounder Records in 2018, she gained attention through her YouTube channel, captivating viewers with covers and live performances. Her debut album showcased her talent, earning rave reviews and collaborations with renowned musicians. Sierra Ferrell continues to make an impact, recently contributing backing vocals to The Black Keys’ album “Dropout Boogie.”
