Do You Need A Ticket

Gallagher Square is inside Petco Park and so you will need to buy a ticket to get into the Padres game. Anyone inside the ballpark can wander over and explore, and vice-versa. There are no seats or assigned sections. It is all open lawn seating.

When there is no Padres game or event going on, you do not need a ticket to enter.

Gallagher Square Ticket Prices – Tickets for Gallagher Square seating can be purchased in the range of $30 – $65. Prices flex based on date, demand and quality of the Padres opponent. It’s tough to call it a bargain, but still the cheapest entry for families at Petco! Especially with babies. All tickets are general admission / standing room only (SRO), so do not be confused. The general admission lawn passes are the only option. You may see or hear tickets to this section referred to as PATP or PATP1 (which stands for Park At The Park).

Best for Families with Kids

Gallagher Square is especially popular with families because kids can run around on the lawn and play on the playground. It’s also great for babies—just bring a blanket! Though a far cry from cheap, it’s the most affordable way to bring the whole family to a Padres game.

Do my children need tickets to enter?

Yes. Children need tickets to attend games in the Gallagher Square unless they are under 36 inches. Children under 36 inches can enter Petco Park free without a ticket. (This is true in regular sections as well, as long as they sit on your lap and do not occupy a seat.)

All Gallagher Square tickets are standing room only (SRO). This means there are no assigned seats—it’s all open grass lawn seating. Arrive early to claim your spot on the hill!
