Juanes closes out his North American tour in San Diego. The Grammy-winning Colombian rock star plays Gallagher Square at Petco Park on Thursday, October 22, 2026 — the last of 28 dates on a run that started in Orlando in early September. He’s touring behind JuanesTeban, his new concept album, with a brand-new stage production built around it. Tour finales tend to be the loosest, longest nights of a run, and San Diego gets this one.

Tickets are on sale now. It’s a general admission lawn show, so a later arrival just means a spot farther back — but on a tour-closing Thursday with a big local Latin music crowd, don’t count on a walk-up.

About Juanes

Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez — Juanes — grew up in Colombia’s Antioquia region and started out as the frontman and guitarist for the Medellín metal band Ekhymosis. He went solo in 2000, and two years later Un Día Normal made him the biggest name in Latin rock. That album sat in the top 10 of Billboard’s Latin chart for a record 92 weeks and won six Latin Grammys on its own.

The hits kept coming: “A Dios le Pido,” “Es Por Ti,” “Fotografía” with Nelly Furtado, and “La Camisa Negra,” which charted all over Europe without a word of English. He’s still winning, too — Vida Cotidiana took the Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album in 2024.

Juanes has never kept politics out of the music. In 2008 he organized the first Paz Sin Fronteras concert on a border bridge between Colombia and Venezuela, then took the idea to Havana’s Plaza de la Revolución the next year. Time named him one of its 100 Most Influential People.

The New Album: JuanesTeban

JuanesTeban came out March 6 on Universal. The title mashes up his stage name and his birth name, and the whole 16-track record is built around that split — light and dark, the rock star and the guy from Antioquia. He co-produced it with Argentine producer Nico Cotton and pulled in a strong guest list: Bomba Estéreo, Mon Laferte, Vivir Quintana, Rawayana and Conociendo Rusia. Musically it bounces between rock, cumbia and the Colombian folk sounds he’s always come back to.

Songs to know before the show: “Hagamos Que,” “Una Noche Contigo,” and “El Gran Día.”

What to Expect

Expect the new material up front and the classics where they belong. A Juanes set leans hard on his guitar playing, he talks to the crowd about where the songs came from, and nobody leaves without hearing “La Camisa Negra” and “A Dios le Pido.” The 2026 tour also carries a new production designed around JuanesTeban, so this isn’t a stripped-down club show.

Gallagher Square at Petco Park

Gallagher Square is the 2.8-acre lawn beyond the outfield at Petco Park. You can stand down front near the stage or hang back on the grass slope with the ballpark lit up behind you. For an artist who usually plays arenas, it’s a much closer look.
