Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan Concert San Diego

Two of country’s biggest names co-headlined a stadium tour for the first time, and San Diego got one of just five stops. Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan brought the Double Down Tour to Petco Park on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with special guests Gavin Adcock, Chase Matthew, Dee Jay Silver, and DJ Rock. The Georgia natives expanded the run after a sold-out reunion at UGA’s Sanford Stadium drew 63,000 fans in April.

Show Details

  • Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
  • Venue: Petco Park (full stadium)
  • Support: Gavin Adcock, Chase Matthew, Dee Jay Silver, DJ Rock
  • Tour: Double Down Tour 2026

About Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean is one of the defining country-rock voices of the past two decades. The Georgia-born singer broke through with 2005’s “Hicktown” and has since racked up 30 No. 1 singles and multiple Entertainer of the Year wins from the ACM and CMA. Recently honored with a SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award, his catalog has helped redefine what mainstream country sounds like.

He has been touring in support of his latest studio album, Songs About Us, which was released in April 2026 and features intimate storytelling alongside his unmistakable arena sound. Aldean slotted the Double Down stadium dates in alongside his ongoing Songs About Us Tour.

Essential Tracks

  • “Big Green Tractor”
  • “Dirt Road Anthem“
  • “She’s Country”
  • “Burnin’ It Down”
  • “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” (from Songs About Us)

About Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan is country’s reigning party-stadium headliner. Also a Georgia native, Bryan has been a touring force for 20+ years, with chart-topping hits, multiple Entertainer of the Year awards, a long run as an American Idol judge, and the annual Farm Tour that takes country music to working farms across America.

During the show, fans were treated to new music from his ninth studio album, Signs (arriving September 2026), alongside his massive collection of feel-good anthems. Bryan ran his solo Farm Tour and Word on the Street Tour dates through July before these Double Down dates kicked in.

Essential Tracks

  • “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)”
  • “That’s My Kind of Night”
  • “Play It Again“
  • “Word On The Street” (namesake of his 2026 tour)
  • “Country And She Knows It” (lead single from Signs)

The Live Experience

Aldean and Bryan have shared stages plenty of times over their 20-year friendship, but the Double Down Tour was their first co-headlining stadium run. Fans experienced a long, layered night of music:

  • Two full headlining sets back-to-back, plus joint moments on stage
  • Support sets from Gavin Adcock and Chase Matthew, two of the genre’s fastest-rising names
  • Dee Jay Silver and DJ Rock keeping the energy high between sets
  • Stadium-scale production with full band performances on both sides

Supporting Acts

Gavin Adcock — one of country’s loudest current breakout stories, with a hard-touring reputation and a sound that bridges country, southern rock, and grit. His audience has grown rapidly through relentless live shows and viral cuts.

Chase Matthew — Nashville-based country artist who broke through with “County Line” and has built a steady following on the festival and stadium-support circuit since, including previous runs with Aldean and Bryan.

Dee Jay Silver — longtime country tour DJ; a fixture on Aldean’s tours for over a decade, known for keeping crowd energy up between sets and the first DJ ever signed to a major Nashville label.

DJ Rock — Bryan’s longtime tour DJ, a Georgia Southern alum who’s been DJing Bryan’s Farm Tour and stadium runs for over a decade.

Why This Show Mattered

  • First-ever co-headlining stadium run for Aldean and Bryan: They’ve crossed paths for two decades, but never on a stadium tour together until this run.
  • Just five U.S. dates: San Diego, Missoula, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, plus the Athens kickoff. Most cities didn’t get to experience this tour.
  • Coming off a 63,000-fan reunion: The April UGA show was the proof of concept—these added 2026 dates existed because that show landed so successfully.
  • Loaded undercard: Gavin Adcock and Chase Matthew brought headline-level talent stacked underneath two of the biggest names in country.

Three nights, three genres at Petco: This show was part of an epic weekend run. RĂśFĂśS DU SOL took the stadium Saturday Aug 15 (electronic), Aldean & Bryan headlined Sunday Aug 16 (country), and Noah Kahan closed the run Monday Aug 17 (folk-pop). It was one of the most concentrated concert weekends in Petco Park history.
