Downtown Gate

The Downtown Gate is located outside left-center field on the northwest side of the stadium.

Padres Games

If you are sitting near the bleachers, outfield, or Gallagher Square, use the Downtown Gate entrance (or Balboa Gate on the east side).

From the perspective of standing at home plate facing the outfield, the Downtown Gate would be on the left side.

Riding your bike to the game? There are bicycle stands at this gate.

Name

All of Petco’s gates are downtown technically, and in fact the Downtown Gate is actually in the most “uptown” location. Perhaps it refers to the target sluggers refer to when taunting that they are going to smack the next pitch downtown.
