The not-inexpensive festival of music, comedy, art and food known as KAABOO San Diego has been rescheduled for September 2021 as a consequence of the spread of COVID-19 in California and across the country.
According to the top dogs, ticket holders will receive an email with a “special offering for those of you who hold onto your passes for KAABOO 2021” with option for a full refund as well.
Formerly known as “KAABOO Del Mar
,” and also mis-known as Kaboo, Kabboo and Kabooo, the three-day festival had a five-year run in North County and featured bands such as: Kings of Leon, Wu-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, the Cult, Boyz II Men, Dave Matthews Band, Black Eyed Peas, One Republic, Switchfoot, Mumford & Sons, Duran Duran, Sheryl Crow, The Bangles, Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Robert Plant, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, Big Boi, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ice Cube, Aerosmith and the Killers.
The move to Petco Park gives the festival the infrastructure for more space, safety, parking and amenities to take KAABOO to the next level.
In 2020, bands will likely take advantage of Petco Park’s Sycuan Stage as well as the field itself where many concerts have taken place.
