San Diego fans of country music star Darius Rucker have reason to celebrate: the Grammy Award-winning artist has announced a 2023 tour, titled “Starting Fires.” The tour will kick off on May 9th in St. Louis, Missouri, and will include a stop at San Diego’s own Petco Park in August.
Gallagher Square is located behind the outfield in Petco Park at 100 Park Blvd, San Diego, California.
In 2008, Rucker embarked on a successful solo career in country music, which has since produced several chart-topping albums and numerous hit singles. He won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance for his song “Wagon Wheel” in 2014. Outside of music, Rucker is also an active philanthropist, supporting a variety of charitable causes, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston.
