Craft Pier

Craft Pier is Petco Park’s boardwalk-style beer deck, sitting on top of the right-center field wall just to the first base side of the batter’s eye. It’s built to feel like a San Diego pier: reclaimed wood decking, split-rail railings, lifeguard-style seating and a long drink rail looking straight down onto the field. Any game ticket gets you in. No upgrade, no club pass.

Where it is

Craft Pier is on the Street Level outfield concourse, right next to Gallagher Square. If you’re coming from outside, the Park Boulevard gate is your shortest walk. The deck has two tiers. The upper deck is open to everyone, and the lower tier is usually booked for group outings.

Got a Park at the Park ticket? That gets you onto Craft Pier too. It’s first come, first served, and the deck has a set capacity, so on sellout nights you may have to wait for space to open up.

The beer

Ballast Point runs the bar here, so expect their lineup and not much else. If you want to work through more of the local scene, walk the concourse to Craft Row behind home plate or hit one of the Craft Beers of San Diego stands. Bring a glove

The front rail hangs right over the warning track, which makes Craft Pier one of the better home run spots in Petco Park. That goes for batting practice too. Show up when gates open, grab a beer and claim rail space before the crowd rolls in.
