Gallagher Square: Foster the People San Diego Concert

Indie pop veterans returned to San Diego with their most optimistic tour yet. Foster the People brought “The Good Morning Sunshine Tour” to Gallagher Square on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with special guest Goth Babe. The LA band’s blend of electronic pop and guitar-driven indie rock made for an uplifting night outdoors.

About Foster the People

Foster the People came out of Los Angeles with a sound that turned indie pop into mainstream gold. Their music is both introspective and catchy, blending electronic textures with live instrumentation.

Since breaking through with “Pumped Up Kicks,” Foster the People has proven they’re far more than a one-song wonder. Their catalog runs from the danceable energy of “Helena Beat” to the emotional depth of “Sit Next to Me.”

Essential Foster the People

• “Pumped Up Kicks” – The breakthrough anthem that introduced them to the world
• “Sit Next to Me” – Emotionally resonant indie pop
• “Helena Beat” – Festival-ready energy with electronic flourishes
• “Houdini” – Their more experimental, electronic side
• “Best Friend” – Big melodic hooks and dance-floor energy

Supporting Act: Goth Babe

Goth Babe is the solo project of Griff Washburn, whose dreamy indie pop has earned him a devoted following. His music blends surf rock influences with indie pop sensibilities. Tracks like “As She Dreams” and “Moments/Tides” made him a natural fit to open the night.
