Comic-Con returns to San Diego in 2026. SDCC 2026 runs Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26, with Preview Night on Wednesday, July 22. As always, Petco Park is a major hub for the action — the Interactive Zone, Gallagher Square events, and nearby activations draw fans all weekend, with or without a convention badge. Details are still rolling in, but here’s what we know so far.
Funko’s beloved annual fan party is returning to San Diego Comic-Con in 2026 — and this year it’s landing at Gallagher Square, Petco Park’s open-air lawn, on the evening of Friday, July 24. The event skipped SDCC last year, but it’s back in its spiritual home.
Fundays has built a reputation for going big: expect food, live entertainment, major product reveals, prototype giveaways, and the always-coveted “Box of Fun” packed with exclusive Pop! figures. Ticket details haven’t been announced yet — watch Funko’s channels closely, because they tend to go fast.
One note for schedule planners: Fundays falls on the same Friday evening as the Funmaker/Rokimoto event hosted by Funko founder Mike Becker, making for a busy night in the Funko universe.
Shuttle details for 2026 have not yet been confirmed. Check back closer to the event, or visit the official Comic-Con website for updates.
Check back as announcements roll in — we’ll update this section with programming news, Petco Park activations, and everything relevant to the fan experience outside the convention center.
Immerse yourself in more than a dozen activities and activations in the parking lot across the street from Comic-Con — things too big to fit inside the San Diego Convention Center. Note: The Interactive Zone is open to the public.
In past years, the Petco Park Interactive Zone transformed into a free fan festival. Attendees could immerse themselves in over a dozen interactive experiences — snapping photos with giant movie props, trying out new video games from companies like Nintendo, or even encountering a 40-foot shark. Celebrity appearances weren’t uncommon either, like the Impractical Jokers hosting meet-and-greets.
Created by Bandai Namco Entertainment America and produced by Secret Sauce Society, this limited-time popup just across from Petco Park (323 Seventh Ave) marked PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary with themed food, arcade games, and exclusive merch. The menu pulled from PAC-MAN: The Official Cookbook, with a special ramen bowl collaboration from Maruchan — MAZEmen noodles, loaded quesadillas, Ghost-inspired cake pops and drinks, and shaved ice modeled after the game’s classic fruits, all served in collectible, limited-edition packaging.
TCG Entertainment and Warner Bros. brought Batman (1989) to life with a live 50-piece orchestra performing Danny Elfman’s iconic score at Gallagher Square on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The all-ages event featured costumes and a cinematic evening under the stars.
Visitors snapped photos with the famous cabbage cart, met the Cabbage Merchant, and picked up an exclusive Katara promo card and oversized swag bag including a recipe card from Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Official Baking Book.
An immersive fan experience at the Petco Park Interactive Zone celebrating the return of Winx Club: The Magic is Back and its new aquatic series Mermaid Magic. Fans enjoyed life-size fairy wing photo ops, a walk-in “Playmates Winx Club” toy box, a “Spin & Winx” prize wheel, and a live chalk mural.
