Honoring Peter Seidler

For those who do not know, Peter Seidler was the beloved Chairman and Owner of the San Diego Padres. A lifelong, avid baseball fan, Seidler was part of a group that purchased the the Padres in 2012 and became the team’s Chairman and largest stakeholder in 2020. He passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 63. Read more about Peer Seidler.

Celebration of Life – March 23

The San Diego Padres will pay respects to Peter Seidler with a celebration of life ceremony at Petco Park on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Padres broadcaster Don Orsillo will serve as Master of Ceremonies/ Among those expected in attendance include Padres players past and present, team and league executives, family and other special guests.

The event will begin at 11AM.

Tickets & Admission
Admission is free. Fans will need to claim digital tickets in advance, beginning Thursday, February 29. General admission seating is first come, first served. Free parking will be available in San Diego Padres Parking Lots, including:

  • Lexus Premier Lot
  • Padres Tailgate Lot
  • Padres Parkade

    Jersey Patch

    Throughout the 2024 season, the San Diego Padres will wear a special “PS” jersey patch to honor Peter Seidler.

    The design idea came from Seidler’s children. Fans can purchase their own patch at the Padres Team Store. A limited supply of complimentary jersey patches will be handed out at the Celebration of Life event in March.
