Green means go. But does it mean go ahead and park? Or keep going? Read up on the rules concerning green curb parking so you don’t get a parking ticket:



Green Curb

Green curbs designate a short-term time limit zone, usually 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 2 hours. Businesses can qualify for a green painted curb when they have a flow of customers who stay for a short amount of time. For example convenience stores, dry cleaners, banks and florists.

Green curb parking zones usually don’t last all day. These rules expire in the evenings. Most commonly, green zone restrictions are in effect in San Diego from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. More information will be painted right on the curb or posted on a sign nearby. Depending on the sign and the location, you may be able to park after 6pm without paying.

You may park at green curbs on Sundays and holidays, unless an exception is otherwise posted. Remember all vehicles parking parallel to the curb must park within 18 inches.
