National Anthem at Petco Park

Oh say can you see yourself belting out the National Anthem before a packed crowd at Petco Park?

If you want to perform the National Anthem or God Bless America before a San Diego Padres game, the process starts with an email submission. Send a YouTube link or audio file of yourself — solo or group — to jnaire@padres.com along with a brief description.

Submission Requirements

The Padres are specific about what they want to hear:

  • A cappella only — no instrumental accompaniment
  • Traditional rendition — no changes to the words or cadence
  • 1 minute 20 seconds (80 seconds) or less
  • No reverb or echo, clear audio quality

When to Submit

Most anthem slots are booked during the offseason, well before Opening Day. If performing at Petco Park is on your bucket list, submit early — waiting until the season is underway means most dates are already gone. The Padres book for the full season in advance.

For day-of logistics once you’re booked, pregame participants enter through the Media/VIP Gate near the Home Plate Gate on Park Boulevard and Imperial Avenue, approximately four hours before first pitch.
