Session IPA is a type of India Pale Ale that is lower in alcohol content and slightly less bitter than a traditional IPA. The name “session” refers to the fact that it can be enjoyed for a longer period of time without becoming too overwhelming. The hops used in a session IPA are usually more fruity and light, allowing the beer to be enjoyed in multiple rounds.
