The San Diego Padres have made it to the playoffs! The team has clinched the top wild-card spot in the National League and will host a best-of-three wild-card series at Petco Park starting Tuesday. After a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Padres secured their position thanks to a combination of their win and the New York Mets’ loss. With a season total of 92 wins, they are tied for the second-highest in franchise history, a mark previously achieved in 1984, when they also reached the World Series.

As for their upcoming opponent, the Padres will face the Atlanta Braves, who snuck in after splitting a doubleheader with the Mets.

All three games of the series are set to be played at home at Petco Park and the Padres are favorites to win.
