Padres Remote Work Wednesday 2026

Posted in 2026 in

The Padres are leaning into remote work culture with a Wednesday afternoon day game specifically designed for people who can work from anywhere… and are willing to prove it.

Remote Work Wednesday

Wednesday, June 10, 2026 vs Cincinnati Reds, 1:10 PM first pitch The theme game package includes $10 in Friar Funds — in-park credit you can spend on food and drinks — plus your ticket to the game. Think of it as your lunch budget for the day’s most interesting conference room.

You don’t need to pay for theme game tickets to attend:

Get Regular Tickets Note: To get the Friar Funds, you must buy through the official Padres theme game link — a regular ticket from any other source won’t include it. Do your own math: Buy Theme Game Package

How It Works

The Friar Funds and theme game package require the special purchase above — this isn’t an all-fan giveaway. Buy the package, show up, spend the credit on lunch. The $10 in Friar Funds is in-park credit usable at concessions throughout the ballpark.

Can You Actually Work There?

Yes, with some caveats worth knowing before you pack up your desk.WiFi: Petco Park has free WiFi throughout the ballpark. Connect to “PadresWifi” — no password required. See our WiFi guide for more.Laptops: Laptops and tablets are permitted inside Petco Park. The catch is the bag policy — approved bags are limited to clear single-compartment bags no larger than 12”×6”×12”, which is smaller than most laptop sleeves. Your options are to carry the laptop uncased, use a compliant clear bag if your laptop fits, or drop your bag at a Lock & Go locker ($14) outside the gates and carry the laptop in by hand.Power: There are no general-public charging outlets in the seating bowl — ADA power stations are available only in accessible seating areas. Bring a charged battery or pack a portable charger. The game itself: It’s a 1:10 PM first pitch on a Wednesday in June. Expect a smaller, quieter crowd than a weekend game — easier to concentrate, easier to get concessions, easier to park. San Diego June weather is typically mild and overcast in the morning, clearing by afternoon. If you’re not in the shade, bring sunscreen.Enjoying the office? If you find yourself more productive here than at your actual desk, that might be a sign. We have a running list of Petco Park jobs and internships for people who want to make the commute permanent.
