Padres Mexican Heritage Celebration 2026

Due to popular demand, there are now two Mexican Heritage Celebrations scheduled for 2026:

• Night #1: Friday, June 5, 2026 vs. New York Mets
• Night #2: Friday, August 21, 2026 vs. Minnesota Twins

The Padres’ Mexican Heritage Celebration is back at Petco Park, presented by Pacifico. The events bring together the San Diego County Latino Association, the House of Mexico, and the broader San Diego Mexican community for a celebration that leans into the cross-border identity that makes this team different from any other in MLB.

The Package

The theme game package includes a ticket to the game, a donation to a local community group, and a limited-edition promotional item:

• June 5 (vs. Mets): Includes a limited-edition Padres-themed hat.
• August 21 (vs. Twins): Includes a limited-edition Padres-themed Mexican Heritage jersey.

Why It Matters Here

San Diego sits about 20 miles from Tijuana, and the Padres have leaned into that proximity harder than any other team — see the City Connect 2.0 uniforms for the most recent expression of it. The Padres’ deep ties to Mexico show up everywhere from the broadcast booth to player development to the concessions menu. Mexican Heritage Night is the night the front office puts that culture front and center on the scoreboard.

Pregame in Gallagher Square

Friday night games typically feature pregame music and activations in Gallagher Square. Worth getting there when gates open if you want the full experience before first pitch.

Not the Same as Hispanic Heritage Nights

Don’t confuse this with Hispanic Heritage Weekend in late September — that’s a separate three-day celebration with its own theme game packages and a postgame Los Tucanes de Tijuana concert on Sunday.
