Padres Harry Potter Day 2026

Posted in 2026 in

Harry Potter Day is Monday, September 7, 2026. (Aka Harry Potter Night but the game starts in the afternoon.) The San Diego Padres will trade innings with the visiting Washington Nationals.

This is a Theme Game, make sure you know what that means. The package will include a ticket to the Nationals vs. Padres game, plus a Joe Musgrove “School of Pitchcraft” themed bobblehead.

Note: This is Labor Day!

About Harry Potter

Harry Potter is basically the story of a scrappy rookie phenom getting called up to a league he didn’t know existed, an ancient boarding school called Hogwarts. The real chaos kicks in when Harry joins Quidditch, baseball on broomsticks with a rulebook written by lunatics. He plays Seeker, a sort of magical center fielder who ends the game by snatching a tiny winged ball, robbing the other team of a homer and netting an absurd 150 points, effectively invalidating everything anyone else did.

Over seven seasons, Harry and his ragtag clubhouse of friends become seasoned veterans, fighting through cursed objects, corrupt institutions, magical fascism, a Barry-Bonds-caliber villain named Voldemort, and puberty. It’s got drama, walk-offs, heartbreak, redemption, and just enough chaos that by the end, you’re not even mad the rules never made sense. Because heart wins games, and Harry’s got plenty of it.

About Washington Nationals

The Nationals stumbled through 2025 with a forgettable record, their playoff hopes vanishing faster than a poorly cast Patronus. But 2026 brings new management and renewed ambition. With young talent developing and veterans looking to prove themselves, they’re building toward something. Whether they conjure enough magic to compete in the NL East remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain: they’ll show up swinging wands at Petco Park on Labor Day.
