Halloween in San Diego in 2020 during COVID-19 is already pretty scary. With many of the halloween trails cancelled and traditional activities off the table, everyone is looking for ideas what to do this year. Fortunately San Diego has a perfect venue for parents, kids and anyone who loves Halloween…Petco Park. its gigantic size is perfect for social distancing, and its not often put to use this time of year. [Fun Fact: Padres record in October in Petco Park: a ghostly 0-0. (and golf doesn’t start til November).]
Petco Park Halloween Trail – Is It Safe?
Here’s all the spooky details: The trail is comprised of a “one-way Halloween-themed pumpkin patch” with witches, pumpkins, superheroes, mermaids, candy and toys with social distancing in full effect. There are a limited number of time slots to keep people distanced and guests will be screened and temperature-checked. Treats will be delivered in a contactless manner. Masks / face coverings required. Hand sanitizer will ve readily available.

Purchase tickets in advance and reserve a timeslot (Max capacity in each timeslot: 75 guests)
Tickets are available starting at $25 for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults and can be purchased online in advance here with additional event details here. Admission includes a generous cauldron of tricks and treats thrown in. Children under 1 are free. (Those diapers are scary enough)
