Michelin-Starred Chef Drew Deckman Brings Baja-Inspired Seafood to Petco Park

Hot dogs, schmot dogs. In 2025 we’re doing oysters, baby!

Petco Park is already known as one of the best stadiums in baseball for food, and the 2025 season is taking things up a notch. Michelin-starred chef Drew Deckman is bringing a brand-new seafood eatery to the home of the San Diego Padres.

Planned to be located in the Ballast Point space at Petco Park, Deckman’s new spot—with only a tenative working name of Ballast Point Baja Draft by Deckman’s—will serve up fresh, locally sourced seafood with flavors straight from Baja California.

What’s on the Menu?

Nothing is finalized but here’s a taste of what Padres fans can expect: Oysters – Raw with cilantro cocktail sauce or roasted with guajillo chile butter. Ceviches – Fresh shrimp, market fish, or a vegetarian option. Fish Tacos – Baja-style, of course. “Dirty” Baja Fries – Loaded with shrimp ceviche and queso fundido. Fried Oyster or Fish Torta – Served with chile de arbol mayo and fries.

Padres & Deckman’s Winning Combo

Deckman, who earned a Michelin star at his famous Valle de Guadalupe restaurant, Deckman’s en El Mogor, is no stranger to San Diego. In 2024, he partnered with Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove to open 31ThirtyOne in North Park. His commitment to sustainability aligns with the Padres’ efforts to source local and eco-friendly ingredients across the ballpark.
