Watch Padres on MLB.TV in 2023 - Streaming & App

Posted in 2023 in

New for the 2023 season, as of May 31, San Diegans can watch all Padres games in-market both LIVE and on-demand (subject to national exclusivities) during the 2023 season through an MLB.TV Single Team Padres subscription. The subscription is available for $19.99/month, and you can start with a free trial to see if it’s the right fit for you.

This effectively lifts most of the famous blackout issues that made the MLB.TV subscription previously undesirable to local fans.

Important Detail

It’s worth noting that MLB.TV All Teams subscribers do not have access to Padres games in the San Diego area. To stream Padres games on MLB.TV, you will need to purchase the Single Team Padres Package in addition to the All Teams Package.

YouTube TV and Sling do not have access to Padres games at this time.

How It Works

To watch Padres games on the web, simply visit the MLB.TV Multimedia Center and select the game you wish to view. You will be prompted to enter your MLB.TV Username and Password. Remember not to share your username and password with others, as it is strictly prohibited.

For mobile and connected devices, download the MLB app and select the game you want to watch. Enter your MLB.TV Username and Password to access the game. Again, refrain from sharing your credentials with others.

If you encounter any issues accessing a game or have questions about your account, you can find support through MLB’s online Support Page. Alternatively, you can call their toll-free support number, send an email, reach out on social media, or use the virtual assistant feature.

Free Trial

If you’re considering a free trial of MLB.TV, please note the trial policy. You can cancel a 7-day risk-free trial of MLB.TV Yearly or Monthly at any time during the trial period and still have access for the full 7 days. If you decide not to cancel, you will be billed on the 8th day for the current subscription price. MLB reserves the right to determine eligibility for trial memberships.

Payment

Regarding payment methods, MLB.TV accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Masterpass, and PayPal. Your payment and billing information will be stored as your primary payment card in the Manage Subscriptions section of your MLB Account. If necessary, you can update your payment information in your MLB Account.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your MLB.TV subscription, you can easily do so before your next billing period through your MLB Account or by contacting customer service. Auto-renewal details vary depending on whether you have the Yearly or Monthly subscription, and you have the option to cancel automatic renewal.

Again please be aware of the MLB.TV blackout policy. Due to certain Major League Baseball national exclusivities, select regular season, special event, and postseason games may be unavailable on MLB.TV, both domestically and internationally. However, live audio of these games is available within the “At Bat” app, which is included with all MLB.TV subscriptions.

If the game is blacked out in your area, you may need to use a virtual private network (VPN) or a DNS proxy service to bypass the blackout restrictions.

What is a VPN

If you’re a San Diego Padres fan and you want to watch their games on MLB.TV but are blacked out in your area, you may be able to use a VPN to bypass the restrictions. A VPN, or virtual private network, allows you to connect to a server in a different location, making it appear as if you are located somewhere else. This can help you get around blackout restrictions and access games that would otherwise be unavailable in your area. However, it’s important to note that using a VPN to access content that is restricted in your area may violate the terms of service of some streaming services. Additionally, not all VPNs are created equal, so you’ll want to do some research to find a reliable and secure VPN provider that works well for streaming sports content.

Additionally, the app offers exclusive content, such as interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and analysis from MLB experts. Users can download the app for free, but some features may require a subscription or in-app purchase.
