Unlocking Padres Baseball on Padres.TV & MLB.TV in 2026 - Streaming & App

Posted in 2026 in

For the 2026 season, Padres fans can stream San Diego Padres games in-market both live and on-demand with no blackouts (subject to national exclusivities) through a Padres.TV subscription. This effectively lifts most of the blackout issues that made MLB.TV previously frustrating for local fans.

If you’re hearing talk about “Padres.TV” — that’s Padres streaming. For traditional cable and broadcast TV options, read our guide to broadcast TV and cable 2026.

Padres.TV Only — $99.99/season

Stream all Padres home and away games in the San Diego area, live or on demand, with no local blackouts. Cost is $19.99/month or $99.99 for the full season. A 7-day free trial is available — no credit card required to start.

MLB.TV All Teams + Padres.TV Bundle — $199.99/season

The best option if you follow other teams or travel. For $199.99, stream every out-of-market game live or on demand, plus Padres games in the San Diego area with no blackouts. Includes MLB Network 24/7, live MiLB games, and live audio for all teams. New for 2026, MLB.TV is also available through ESPN. Monthly pricing is also available — check current rates here.

Another streaming option worth considering is fuboTV, which carries Padres games plus national broadcast channels.

No Blackouts

Padres.TV is a separate service from the standard MLB.TV out-of-market package, and it’s designed specifically for in-market fans. It lifts the blackouts that previously plagued Bally Sports San Diego. Stream locally without worrying about whether the game is blacked out in your area.

Spring Training

Wondering about Padres Spring Training? Padres.TV subscribers get access to live spring training broadcasts at no additional charge. All spring games are available across television, radio, or livestream. Just create an MLB account username and password — no credit card needed for the spring.

Supported Devices

Padres.TV and MLB.TV work on PlayStation, Chromecast, Xbox One, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV and more. View all compatible devices.

Important: MLB.TV All Teams Does Not Include Local Padres Games

Worth repeating: MLB.TV All Teams subscribers do not have access to Padres games in the San Diego area. To stream Padres games locally, you need to purchase the Padres.TV package — either standalone ($99.99) or as part of the bundle ($199.99).

Free Trial

The 7-day free trial lets you cancel at any time during the trial period and still retain access for the full 7 days. If you don’t cancel, you’re billed on day 8 at the current subscription price. MLB reserves the right to determine trial eligibility. More info »

Payment & Cancellation

MLB.TV accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. Payment info is stored in the Manage Subscriptions section of your MLB Account. To cancel, do so before your next billing period through your MLB Account or by contacting customer service. No contracts — cancel any time.

Due to MLB national exclusivities, select regular season, special event, and postseason games may be unavailable on Padres.TV. Live audio for those games is available within the MLB App, included with all subscriptions.

The MLB App

There is no separate app for Padres.TV — everything runs through the standard MLB App, available free on Apple iOS and Android. The app provides live games, highlights, scores, in-game stats, live tracking, and personalized alerts. Some features require a subscription.

Note: The MLB App is not the same as the MLB Ballpark App, which is for navigating your experience inside the stadium.

Free for Season Ticket Members

All Padres Season Ticket Members receive a free MLB.TV All Teams subscription as a membership benefit. Important: this is the out-of-market package. It does not include live Padres games for viewers in the San Diego area. Members still need to purchase the Padres.TV add-on ($99.99/season) to stream their local team at home.
