San Diego means sunshine. Most teams have already had more rainouts this season than Petco has had in its existence. The Padres average about one rainout every 6-8 years.

To be more exact, there have been a total of three rainouts at Petco Park in its history: April 4, 2006, July 19, 2015 and May 7, 2017.

That’s 3,394 days between the first and second rain out. During that span, the Padres played 820 consecutive days of games in the sun.

For this reason, there is no information for you on rain outs on this site. Not a lick. No instructions on what to do if it rains. No help about rain delays or games rescheduled because of rain.

The next rainout at Petco Park might not be until 2025.
