Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday

Jimmy Eat World is coming to Petco Park for a concert on October 21, 2021 with Taking Back Sunday, on the Sycuan Stage in Gallagher Square (the former Park at the Park). Also performing is Toronto, Canada’s The Beaches.

Note: If the Padres happen to make the 2021 postseason, with a NLCS home game that falls on the very same October 21, the concert will be rescheduled.

Jimmy Eat Who Now?

Jimmy Eat World is a rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. Jimmy is lead singer/guitarist Jim Adkins, and the rest of the band includes Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. You may know the songs “The Middle”, “Sweetness” and “Pain”, words which also describe the Padres season to date.

Taking Back Sunday, also on the bill, originated in Long Island, New York. Band’s members include Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar), and Mark O’Connell (drums). You may know the songs “Cute Without the ‘E’”, “MakeDamnSure” and “You’re So Last Summer”.
