Fernando Tatis Jr. will be playing at Petco Park through 2034! The young shortstop Tatis has signed with the San Diego Padres in a record-breaking contract extension. Fernando Tatis Jr., wearing jersey #23, is set to earn $340 million in the deal, the third-largest contract in MLB history.

Tatis Jr., who made his debut in 2019, signed what is being called a ‘statue contract,’ inked with a career-long legacy in mind.

“There’s great excitement around here,” said San Diego Padres manager Jayce Tingler. We agree. It’s time to gear up and play ball with some new Padres merch for this season.
