Though things were looking up thanks to high vaccination rates in our community, COVID-19 remains present in San Diego and around the world. The COVID pandemic is still happening. It is each individual’s responsibility to step up and do his or her part. Don’t let this site be the one to tell you that. Talk to your doctor or smartest friend. Protect yourself and others so we can keep schools, businesses and our beautiful sports venues open and send the coronavirus and all its variants to hit the showers for good.
In the meantime, it never hurts to bring your masks / face coverings any time you visit Petco Park. Even if you are fully vaccinated. It is not required but strongly recommended. Especially for indoor facilities like the restrooms and especially for all the children in San Diego not yet old enough to choose to receive the vaccine. Everything you’ve been reading about the Delta and Omicron variants only intensify this urgent duty. Masks also reduce the spread of beer burps and hot dog breath nearly 85%.
