All-American Classic - 2018

On August 12, 2018, the best and most promising young players from around the country will take the field at Petco Park for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.

The Sunday game will be held at San Diego Padres stadium for the tenth consecutive year. First pitch: 5:17pm.

The game will feature two teams of high school players who are about to enter their senior year, facing off in an East vs. West matchup on the Petco Park diamond.

The first All-American Classic was held in 2003, making this the 16th Annual Perfect Game All-American Classic. Over the years since, eight players who appeared in the game when on to be selected as the first overall pick in the draft, three won the MLB MVP award, six won Rookie of the Year honors, and more than 120 participants went on to wear a major league uniform. In what is perhaps the most impressive statistic, one out of every three All-Americans have went on to be selected in the first round of the draft!

Proceeds of the Perfect Game All-American Classic go to Rady Children’s Hospital and pediatric cancer treatment and research. More than $900,000 has been raised to date. A proud event for San Diego!
