The San Diego Padres unveiled the schedule for the 2017 regular season. 82 home games (plus playoffs?) await, with many great events, promotions and giveaways along the way. The Padres also will have the pleasure of being the first opponent of the Atlanta Braves in their new stadium on April 14.
The Padres look to improve on their 2016 record of 68-94 by notching a few more wins in front of the home crowd. New this year, most weekday games will start at 7:10 pm with a few starting an hour earlier at 6:10 pm presumably to give the team a headstart on travel days.

Once spring training wraps up, Opening day at Petco Park is Friday, April 7, against the San Francisco Giants. An early test whether this will be the Padres year!
In interleague play, the Padres square off with the American League Central, with home series in against the Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins in 2017, as well as the Texas Rangers.
The series everyone has circled is the arrival of the Chicago Cubs on Memorial Day. The last series of the season will be a four-game homestand against the Rockies, ending September 24.
